Background
Increasing pressure on water resources is occuring against a backdrop of changes in legislation. These changes have been brought about to integrate groundwater and surface water resource assessments together with considering more thoroughly any impacts on ecology.
This will change the way water resources are assessed, increase pressure on water abstractors and users with the tightening up of effluent discharge consents, time limiting of abstraction licences etc. Hafren Water is well-placed to assist clients with these changing demands due to our track record of working with both industry and the Environment Agency. We are also able to provide cost-effective, pragmatic solutions to groundwater and surface water issues through to advice and support on regulatory matters.
